How It Works

Everything you need to know about the five tabs, picks, Gravity, locks, challenges, streaks, the Orbit, and Fanbases.

1. Finding Your Way Around

The Fan Orbit has five tabs across the bottom of the screen (mobile) and the top of the interface (desktop). Each opens a focused view — no menus to dig through.

On desktop, the Treemap is always visible as the background. Activating a tab slides the corresponding panel in from the left without leaving the live view. Clicking the active tab again collapses the panel back to full Treemap.

Your Orbit

Tap your avatar pill in the top-right corner to enter your Orbit — a full-page 3D destination centered on your planet. From here you can access four sections via overlay:

The in-scene HUD at the bottom of the Orbit view lets you navigate to your Space Station, check live scores, browse news and odds, enter Fly Mode, and track your planet's evolution — without leaving the 3D view.

Your Profile

Tap the caret next to your avatar and select My Profile, or tap any username anywhere in the app. Your profile shows your identity card with pick record, badges, receipts preview, and team allegiances. Anyone can visit your profile or your Orbit directly via your username link.

2. News, Scores & Odds

The Fan Orbit is your sports home base. Open it up and you'll find the latest news across every sport: NFL, NBA, MLB, NHL, college, Premier League, MLS, and more. Follow your favorite teams to personalize what you see first.

Live scores update throughout the day. Odds are pulled in real time so you can see the lines before you make your picks. Everything lives in one place.

3. Make Picks

Pick the winner of any game. No spreads, no point totals. Just pick who wins. Every correct pick earns you Gravity, the currency that powers everything on The Fan Orbit.

The Daily Slate

Every day, 3 featured games appear as Today's Slate. The same 3 games for every user, so streaks, records, and bragging rights are directly comparable. Pick all 3 to keep your streak alive. Get all 3 right for a bonus.

The Lock System

Every pick starts at Lock 1 (standard). Feeling confident? Upgrade your lock level before the game starts.

Lock LevelIf CorrectIf WrongLimit
🔒 Lock 1+1GNo penaltyUnlimited
🔒🔒 Lock 2+2G-1GUnlimited
🔒🔒🔒 Lock 3+3G (+4G Pro/HOF)-2G1 per day

Lock 3 is your Lock of the Day. Use it wisely. You can change your lock level up or down anytime before the game starts.

Want a second Lock of the Day? Purchase Extra 3-Lock in the Orbit Shop for 10 Gravity. It lasts 7 days and gives you 2 Lock of the Day picks per day instead of 1.

Underdog Picks

Pick the underdog and you earn +1 bonus Gravity if they pull off the upset. This stacks with your lock level, so a Lock 3 underdog upset pays +4G (or +5G for Pro/HOF).

Parlay Chains

Chain 2 to 5 picks together into a parlay. All legs must hit for the payout. The more legs, the bigger the multiplier.

4. Gravity

Gravity is the currency that powers The Fan Orbit. You earn it by being right. It can't be bought with real money and can't be cashed out. The competition is real because all Gravity must be earned.

What You Spend Gravity On

Gravity can only be earned, never bought. The leaderboard reflects real prediction skill.

5. Streaks

Your streak tracks consecutive days completing the Daily Slate. Pick all 3 games every day to keep it alive. Miss a day and it resets to zero.

6. Challenges

Challenge any user to a head-to-head picking competition. Both players pick the same set of games. Whoever gets more correct wins.

Wagers

Put Gravity on the line. Both players put up the same amount and the winner takes it all. Choose a preset (Friendly at 10, Competitive at 25, High Stakes at 50) or set any custom amount up to your balance.

Group Challenges

Create a group challenge and invite up to 8 friends. Everyone picks the same games and the pot splits among the top finishers. Creating group challenges requires the Hall of Fame tier, but anyone can join one.

7. The Orbit

Tap your avatar pill in the top-right corner to enter your Orbit — a full-page 3D space centered on your planet. Four sections are accessible from here as overlays:

The GlobeView HUD at the bottom of the Orbit screen lets you switch between your planet, your Space Station, live scores, news, odds, Fly Mode, and your planet's Evolution track — all without leaving the 3D view.

8. Badges

Earn badges across 6 categories: prediction milestones, streak achievements, challenge accomplishments, community engagement, special events, and tier status. Badges display on your profile, share cards, and the Hall of Fame section of The Board.

9. Receipts

Pin your best winning picks as receipts. This is your curated trophy case, displayed on your profile. Each receipt uses a receipt-stub design with monospace scores and a "CALLED IT" stamp. Share them as images. Pinned receipts also appear as glowing markers on your planet surface.

10. Feed & Community

The feed shows live activity across The Fan Orbit: picks, results, lock-level calls, upsets, challenge outcomes, and parlay hits. React to events with fire, skull, crown, or clown.

Three feed views: Everyone shows all activity, Following shows people you follow, and My Teams shows activity from fans who share your favorite teams.

Game Rooms show live consensus, scores, and pick status for games in progress.

11. Rivals

Challenge someone 3 times and you become rivals. The Rivals tab under Compete shows all your rivalries with full stats: challenge record, aggregate pick record, accuracy comparison, and total Gravity exchanged. Hit the rematch button to keep the rivalry going.

12. Last Night Recap

Open the app in the morning and get a quick summary of how you did. You'll see your record, each pick's result, and your current streak. Shows once per day and auto-dismisses after a few seconds. You can also save winning picks as receipts directly from the recap.

13. The Board

The Board is the leaderboard. Use the toggle at the top to switch between individual standings and Fanbase standings. Individual rankings show Gravity earned, pick record, and streak. Fanbase standings rank every team's collective accuracy across daily, weekly, monthly, season, and all-time cuts — something is always moving.

14. Fanbases

A Fanbase is the collective of all Fan Orbit users who share a primary team allegiance — the Lakers Fanbase, the Eagles Fanbase, the Yankees Fanbase. Your picks don't just affect your personal rank; they count toward your Fanbase's standing against every other team's fanbase on the platform.

Pick your primary team per sport during onboarding (one per league, with a one-week cooldown to change). You'll see your Fanbase's current rank on your profile, on the Board, and on your planet — a subtle atmosphere tint and SDF flag mark your allegiance. The moment you join, you're mid-competition.

15. Tiers

The Fan Orbit offers three tiers. Paid tiers are one-time purchases. No subscriptions. No renewals. No surprise charges.
